Nokia is manufacturing mobile phones with camera. All the latest features of the camera are available in the Nokia Mobile phones. Now the latest version of the Nokia mobile phones is Nokia N95 8GB because Nokia N95 8GB houses a 5MP camera with all the newborn technologies of the mobile. Nokia mobile phones are among the most trusted models of mobiles being used by phone users worldwide. Over the years, Nokia has created an individual brand identity for its range of mobiles by developing handsets that are elegant in looks, reliable in quality and versatile in function. The Nokia N Series includes handsets such as the Nokia N93 and Nokia N91 and is the latest additions to this list of sophisticated mobile phones from Nokia that come with a multitude of user-friendly features. These handsets are good to look at; they also enable phone owners to cater to their needs related to communication, entertainment and information access. As a matter of fact, Mobile Phone such as the Nokia N93 or the Nokia N91 put the world in your pocket. When deciding on a business cell phone …. evaluating for features, cost, reliability, coverage, performance, customer support, etc. are all important factors. But with so much to consider …. what would or should you choose?

First, understand that your decision depends on a number of parameters:

1. Where your organization is located
2. How much email-centric is the organization, and you.
3. How much you travel abroad.

If you are located in the US and/or travel abroad more than a week per month and/or your organization corporate email is NOT Exchange-based, then a Blackberry will be a very good solution for you in terms of cost/efficiency.

If not, then it is difficult for me to see the Blackberry paying for itself in short or long terms.

I suggest using a more direct approach and use Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) to sync your phones with your corporate mail.

Using EAS to connect the phones to the corporate server opens you to a very big variety of phones you can choose to use:

1. Windows Mobile 5/6 Pro phones (Pocket PCs) – these phones are my preferred ones. They use Windows Mobile as their OS, usually have a touch screen, sometimes have a QWERTY keyboard and operate as a small handheld computer. Can work as a GPS navigation device in many cases.

2. Windows Mobile 5/6 Standard (Smartphones) – Usually have all the previous have, except for the touch screen.

3. Nokia Symbian S60 devices – different operating system, better known for Nokia users, but more complicated than Windows Mobile for newcomers.

4. Apple iPhone (beginning from version 2 can also sync with Exchange).

Now, the parameters for my preferences:

1. Windows Mobile OS is my preferred OS.

2. From both categories, I prefer the devices with touch screens.

3. Battery life is VERY important for me. I won’t take a device that cannot run for at least 8 hours with normal use.

4. WiFi is a must: when I travel abroad and get to offices or to hotels, I don’t want to pay extras for cellular roaming.

5. Internal GPS is also something I would like to see, but not a must.

6. Reliability and Flexibility with 3rd party software installed.

Now, when you consider all the above, and also the different GSM and HSDPA frequencies, you will understand that you will have different preferred models in different countries.

After many years going around with different phones, my tecno nerd friend stabilized lately with the Samsung i780, which is a great phone in my point-of-view. It has all that he was looking for in a business phone: touchscreen, wifi, gps, full keyboard for messaging/mailing, EAS, quadband GPRS/EDGE …. so he can work in the US at EDGE speeds (even if I would prefer 3G), and a battery that in normal use days would give him 10-11 hours of use, and in extreme use days 7-8 hours.

Another nice device to look at (in the Windows Mobile world) is the Samsung Omnia i900.

If you prefer the Symbian world, I would suggest taking a look at the Nokia E71.

Regarding the iPhone: in my opinion, it is getting better since version 2 …. with EAS and some 3rd party software …. but at least for many diehards it is still missing much desired functionality.

In the end there’s a lot to think about to arrive at the best decision for YOU. Take the above information … look at your specific situation (likes, wants, needs …. applications of course) …. and go from there.

Not long after introducing their 6102 model (6103 for T-Mobile) cellular telephone, Nokia put out the 6102i, essentially adding in the feature they must have forgotten with the 6102, Bluetooth capability. They didn’t add Bluetooth in exchange for any of the winning features that made the 6102 and 6103 so popular.

Unless you have a very keen eye for detail, you won’t notice any cosmetic difference between the three models. With conservative lines and a traditional clamshell closure, the 6102 family of phones is very sleek without being flashy.

As with many of Nokia’s clamshell phones, you can see basic information, such as battery level, signal strength and time on the external LCD screen with capacity of up to 4000 colors.

On the 6102i Bluetooth model, you’ll find the infrared port along the right side of the phone. The volume keys are on the left where previous Nokia owners will find very familiar. The speakerphone can be found along the spine of the phone and the pop-port connection is along the bottom.

Once you open the 6102, 6103 or 6102i you’ll find the easy to read 65K color screen. Sure, you could spend more for 262K color or even 16.7 million color screens that the higher-end models are boasting of.

Taking photos is quick and easy with Nokia’s 6102 line. The lens is located at the top of the camera when closed and just above the pivot when open. Once you’ve triggered the camera, you can begin snapping shots with the phone open or closed just by aiming and pressing the dedicated camera key. The .3 megapixel won’t take Ansel Adams images and does come up a little lacking compared to other standard middle-of-the-road mobile devices that are now including 1.3 megapixels with up to 3+ megapixels found in many higher-end models. Don’t expect to make prints of any pictures you shoot. If you use the camera capabilities to make phone wallpapers or send to friends on their digital devices.

Your still shots can be up to 640 x 480 in size with settings for high, normal and basic image quality. When the camera is set to high resolution, all .3 megapixels will be used. Fewer pixels are used to create the image when set to normal and fewer still when on the basic setting.

There are timer and night mode functions included in the 6201 line of phones, but they are mediocre at best. No digital zoom, artistic filter, exposure or brightness adjustments and lack of color balance all make the camera feature a bit more disappointing than previous and more recent Nokia models.

Video recording resolution is 128 x 96 pixels and is encoded in 3GP codec format. You can send video recordings to friends and family, but don’t expect to win any Emmy’s for your direction or capture of the event of the century. Even if you could capture it, the blurriness and overall low quality of the video clips would render it almost useless. Bottom line, if you want to take pictures or video with your camera for usefulness rather than novelty, look to another Nokia model.

Just as the Nokia 6102 falls short in the camera and video department, so it does in the audio department. There’s no MP3 player and the quality is downright inadequate. The saving grace is that this device does include an FM radio with the capability to preset up to 20 stations and it supports MP3 and downloadable ringtones.

As mentioned earlier, sending text messages is pretty easy with this phone. Nokia bridged the gap between messaging and chatting by adding AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), Yahoo! Messenger and MSN Messenger capabilities to this phone. Chatting by phone takes on a whole new meaning.

You aren’t limited to text-only messages, you are also able to send and receive multimedia messages in the form of pictures. The recently introduced Nokia Xpress will allow you to send video as well.

The package of applications on the 6102 line of phones is very similar to other Nokia phones: a phone book that holds up to 500 entries, an alarm clock, calculator, timer, calendar, notes and to-do list. The 6102i is equipped with POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols to allow you to check your email without much work. The 6102 line is Java compatible.

Storage capacities are less than stellar, with just 4.2 MB of internal memory. This might leave you wanting more if you are a shutterbug, like to store email or text messages or just like to download games and ringtones in your spare time. There’s no expansion slot, either, so you only get 4.2 MB.

If you are looking for a quality phone without flashiness that comes with many updated devices, the Nokia 6201 line might be for you. With Bluetooth and a solid design, you’ll find this little nugget to be handy and sturdy with Internet capabilities without a lot of other fancy gadgetry to pay for.

The Samsung Instinct is touch-screen cell phone and is meant to compete directly with the Apple iPhone. More than just a simple cell phone though, the Instinct comes with a camera, media player, GPS, text messenger, email and web browsing capabilities. The Samsung Instinct was introduced in June 2008 by Sprint in the U.S and was received with plenty of fanfare. Full of features, yet relatively low cost compared to other similar phones, the Samsung Instinct has been a hit and has been the best selling phone in the history of Sprint.

Unfortunately the Samsung Instinct available through Sprint does not come with Wifi connectivity, similar to other smart phones and even the Sprint Instinct offered by other networks.

A lithium-Ion battery allows for talk-time of 5.75 hours and through Sprint, you have the ability to watch live television on a number of different stations. As seems to be a standard on most phones today, the Instinct also comes with a 2.0 megapixel camera that can record both still pictures and video.

Need help finding your way to your next vacation destination or business meeting? This is where the Samsung Instinct really shines, with a built in GPS navigation system. It even has voice activated search so you can keep your hands on the wheel as you search for your destination. It can even give you turn by turn directions, like many GPS systems can. For parents, Sprint offers the Family Tracker so you can keep track of your kids, no matter where they are.

Last but not least, don’t forget the MP3 and media player. With a generous 2GB hard drive which is expandable using a MicroSD card, there’s plenty of room for your music. You can even store photos and video on the hard drive as well.

It’s important to always keep your hands on the wheel and pay attention to driving and that’s why the Samsung Instinct has built-in bluetooth capabilities so that you can connect an ear piece.

An Instinct cell phone can be quite expensive. However there are places you can buy a new, refurbished, or used Instinct cell phone that is unlocked with a clean ESN number.

Overall, the Samsung Instinct is a great phone that has all the bells and whistles that you will ever want to have.
